Call the midwife BACK for the Christmas 2021 special and the UKTN drama announces a wedding for Lucille as they post the first look image
The UKTN has announced that Call The Midwife will be returning to screens for a Christmas special.
The show took to Instagram on Friday to tease fans with a first look at the upcoming episode, and said Lucille “has a lot to plan” alongside a slew of wedding emojis.
The festive photo shows Lucille (Leonie Hunt) beaming as she does a snowman alongside Reggie (Daniel Laurie).

Announcing the news, they captioned the show, “Hello everyone! Today we got our hands on the very first preview images of the new Christmas special Call the Midwife - starring Daniel Laurie ( Reggie) and Leonie Elliott (Lucille)! We have questions ….
‘Reggie … are those pajamas you’re wearing … in the snow ?? Does this snowman have pointy ears? How adorable Lucille in green !!
“Of course, we’re not going to tell you what’s going on in this episode, except to say that our lovely Lucille has a LOT of stuff to prepare… We are all very proud of this year’s Christmas episode, and we we just can’t WAIT for you to see it! ‘
