Samsung introduced a new series of microSD cards for professionals on Tuesday - Pro Plus. It has also released a redesigned line of its microSD Evo Plus cards for consumers. Samsung Pro Plus microSD cards, aimed at content creators, offer read and write speeds of up to 160 Mbps and 120 Mbps, respectively. MicroSD Evo Plus cards, designed for occasional daily use, offer transfer speeds of up to 130MB / s, delivering up to 1.3x faster sequential read speed compared to the previous version. Both microSD cards come with storage capacity options of up to 512 GB.
The South Korean giant claims that two new microSD cards are intended to capture high-quality photos, 4K Ultra HD (UHD) videos and other content on smartphones, action cameras and drones. Samsung Pro Plus microSD cards will be available in capacities of 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB. In contrast, the Samsung Evo Plus microSD card will be available in capacities of 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.
