The Indian cricket team will play six white ball games against England in July next year, the England and Wales Cricket Council announced when unveiling its international home matches for 2022. The Indian team are currently playing a series of five tests against England with the final match set to start on September 10. However, unlike in other years, India’s red and white ball series have been separated due to the length of the tours during the COVID-19 pandemic. England’s men will play all of their home white ball matches in July against India, followed by South Africa.
As per the schedule published by the ECB, India will start the T20 International series at Old Trafford on July 1 ahead of the matches at Trent Bridge (July 3) and Ageas Bowl (July 6).
A three-game ODI series follows with matches at Edgbaston (July 9), Oval (July 12) and Lord’s (July 14).
The English men will start their summer 2022 at home with a three-game test run against the New Zealand world champions.
Joe Root’s test team will begin their streak against the Black Caps at Lord’s on June 2 before the streak heads to Trent Bridge (June 10-14) and Emerald Headingley (June 23-27).
