ALHAMBRA (UKTN) – A big fire broke out on Friday morning at the Alhambra and forced the evacuation of surrounding homes.
The fire was reported in the 600 block of South Electric Avenue sometime before 6 a.m.

Alhambra fire service teams arrived at the scene to find strong flames and smoke coming from the house.

At one point, aerial footage from Sky2 showed a man in handcuffs at the scene. Alhambra police told UKTN the man tried to put out the fire, but when officers asked him to move he became uncooperative, so they handcuffed him and detained him. .
Several neighboring houses were also evacuated.

There was no word of injury. The cause and circumstances of the fire have not been confirmed.
