The Canadian-born singer held her head high as she comforted Lisa Marie’s loved ones with the gift of a song.

Rust was first performed at the memorial to Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, who committed suicide in July 2017.

Morissette wrote the song “for those of us who struggle with depression and anxiety, isolation, suicidal thoughts and the deep despair into which mental illness can plunge us,” Rolling Stone reported.

Axl Rose also performed and addressed the audience by saying, “I couldn’t have imagined in a million years singing here under these circumstances.”

Before singing November Rain, he added, “I know that Lisa loved her family very much and was fiercely protective of her father and his legacy.”

Priscilla Presley paid tribute to her late daughter on Sunday at an emotional memorial service.

Priscilla shared a poem by one of Lisa Marie Presley’s 14-year-old daughters, calling her mother “an icon, a role model and a superhero.”

The poem read, “She always knew she wouldn’t be here too long… some say a broken heart killed her,” referring to the untimely death of Lisa Marie’s son Benjamin in July 2020.

Priscilla added, “Our hearts are broken. Lisa, we all love you.’

Lisa Marie’s other daughter, actress Riley Keough, was unable to get up on stage and deliver her eulogy herself, so she had her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, read it.

In the eulogy, Riley shared that she’s “confident she chose the best mom in the world” before describing some of the memories she has of Lisa Marie.

“I remember you driving me in my car seat playing Aretha Franklin,” she shared in the eulogy. “I remember the feeling I got when you picked me up from school.”

“Thank you for showing me that love is all that matters in this world,” she concluded, pointing out that she and her late brother, as well as her half-sisters, are “products of your heart.”

“We are you, you are us,” Riley wrote. “Thank you for doing so well for all of us.”
