Among the many notable elements of Andrade’s interview with Lucha Libre Online was a note about WWE that allegedly called Charlotte Flair back to work before she was physically able to do so.
Andrade said, “She went 6 months without action and every week they told her she had to go back to Raw. She was not ready for the operation she had. They would call her every week and she would say, “No I’m not ready…” Andrade said there were problems with her teeth and another problem with an operation she had had.
Andrade said when she came back ideas were pitched for WrestleMania but those plans changed.
Andrade noted that when he returned backstage in February, the wrestlers were great with him. He mentioned people like Randy Orton, Sheamus, Cesaro, and Drew McIntyre as guys who were baffled they weren’t being used. He also said the producers would say the same and the feeling was that something was wrong.
He explained how people say that not speaking English is used as a problem, but wrestlers like Brock Lesnar had someone to speak for him even though he spoke English and Garza spoke English. He also noted that guys like Ricochet and Aleister Black are amazing and are not used to it and speak English. Later in the interview, he noted that Kalisto is another guy who speaks English and is not used.
Andrade put on Drew McIntyre and said he was happy to make Drew a monster. Andrade then said that when Randy Orton told him about not being used, that’s when he made the decision to seek his release.
Andrade said he spoke with Epico in Orlando and Epico joked that Andrade was “you’re like the Settlers, you’re still hurt.” Andrade said WWE wrestlers spoke of “just catering” when asked what they were doing today. This applies to many wrestlers who are barely used.
The four months off has revitalized him as he has been on the road since the age of 13 and 4 months is the longest time he has spent.

– Charlotte has a lot of offers outside of wrestling.
– He said Vince McMahon was respectful but he wasn’t one of those who knocked on Vince’s door every week.
–He thanked WWE for the money he made with them and the fame he gained working there.
– He and Charlotte were supposed to get married last October, but plans have been delayed due to the pandemic.
