As “twindemia” is looming in Japan, here’s what to do if you have a fever

Japan is preparing this winter for a possible “twindemic” scenario in which up to 750,000 people a day could become infected with the coronavirus or the flu, again putting pressure on the healthcare system.

The government has already started urging people with a fever who are considered to be at higher risk of severe symptoms to buy a self-test kit and stay home to recover, rather than going to a nearby clinic.
