WWE star Bayley appeared on “After The Bell with Corey Graves” to talk about her return after recovering from injury.
Bayley shared how her alliance with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY came about at SummerSlam:
“This is something I’ve wanted for a while, I’d say a few years, and actually something I’ve talked to Hunter about before. I just wanted something different for the division and using girls that I think we’re to have.” either underused or who didn’t have that opportunity or didn’t get that spotlight, and just a way to develop myself.
“But when I got injured and spent more time really thinking about it, I knew I wanted girls who haven’t had the chance to RAW or SmackDown, or who haven’t had the chance to feel what WrestleMania is like . because that is the ultimate goal of everyone. So I just had the feeling that if I start looking for girls who haven’t had that yet, the hunger will be so much stronger and it will just be fresher for the fans and fresher for the locker room. They will get excited to work with different people.”
“So when I thought about it like that, if you look at NXT, it was so easy. I knew who I wanted, I knew who could benefit, I knew who I could benefit from and I knew who would give to the locker room. As cool as it will be for the fans and for us, at the end of the day it’s also cool to see the girls in the back reacting to the girls who are here because you just want good people around you, and you want people you can learn from, and people you can work with, and create even more magic for the fans.”

“Dakota, I’ve known her since WWE and she’s someone I always pushed to get signed for. She’s just been a consistent, good friend. She always checked on me while I was injured and gave me her experiences and really helped me a lot. I felt just like her last year that she was just incredible. When she was released, it was one of the few times when I felt very lost. like that. It’s not just because she’s my girlfriend, but because she’s incredibly talented and loves this. I was really upset about that.”
“IYO is one of the best wrestlers in the business, I think, and definitely a top women’s wrestler. So she’s hands down, her experience and her style in the ring, she’s been ready to be on RAW and Smackdown for a long time.”
