January 6 hearing: Election officials targeted by Trump campaign share moving testimony
Appearing before the House Select Committee on January 6 on Tuesday, two Georgian election officials, Wandrea “Shay” Moss and her mother, Ruby Freeman, delivered moving testimony detailing how their lives have been negatively affected by false accusations of tampering with votes in the 2020 election. According to evidence presented by the committee, Freeman and Moss were publicly singled out by former President Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani and faced harassment and threats from Trump supporters. “I lost my sense of security,” Freeman said. “All because a group of people, starting with [Trump] and his ally Rudy Giuliani, decided to scapegoat me and my daughter Shay.
