SAN BERNARDINO (UKTN) – A California Department of Transportation employee discovered a human foot in the mid-center of Highway 210 on Monday, California Highway Patrol said.
According to CHP Inland, the worker found the appendix at around 9:13 a.m. while performing routine maintenance on the east side of 210 Freeway, just west of State Street.

Authorities said the foot appeared to belong to a woman and had apparently been there for several days.

CHP said the area was searched, but no other remains were found. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office took possession of the foot.
