Dubai: The United Arab Emirates confirmed 2,084 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the country’s overall total to 461,444.
According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the latest coronavirus patients, all of whom are in stable condition and receiving needed care, have been identified after performing more than 244,422 COVID-19 tests among the citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates in recent days.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries rose to 445,355 after another 2,202 people were given the green light.
Five more deaths have also been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,497.
The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to all patients, calling on the public to cooperate with the health authorities and to respect all precautionary measures, including social distancing protocols, to ensure the public safety and protection.
