DALLAS (UKTN) –Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a large apartment fire at Forest Cove Apartments, in the 9600 block of Forest Lane, northeast of Dallas, on Monday evening, March 29.
Flames shot through the roof.
The call arrived around 5:30 p.m. as flames could be seen inside several apartments.
When firefighters arrived at the two-story apartment complex, they saw fire going through the roof of one of the buildings.
With the blaze in its advanced stages, it wasn’t long before a second alarm response was transmitted.
A third alarm was transmitted for the workforce, which allowed about 70 to 80 firefighters to intervene on the scene.
At 6:20 p.m. it became a four-alarm fire.
Teams are still extinguishing the blaze, but due in part to a partial collapse of the roof, efforts have been mostly defensive.
No injuries have been reported and it is not yet clear what could have started the fire.
