The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) put on an exciting match on Tuesday where Virat Kohli’s side managed to secure a narrow one-point victory over the last ball of the match. Indian Men’s Cricket Team Head Coach Ravi Shastri took to Twitter on Wednesday to share a photo of Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, applauding the competition and said he believed the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 could see a potential new winner. RCB and DC have yet to get their hands on the IPL Trophy.
“Awesome game last night. The seeds are sown for a potential new winner to emerge,” Shastri wrote in the photo.

After their victory on Tuesday, RCB are now at the top of the IPL 2021 points table. The Kohli-led squad have 10 points from six matches.
The Delhi Capitals, who were the finalists last year, are third in the points table with four wins in six games.
With defending champions Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders failing to find consistency this season, Shastri’s prediction may come true if Delhi and RCB continue to play as they did in the 14th edition of the IPL.
Straddling AB Villiers’ half-century blister on Tuesday, RCB posted a total of 171 competitions for five of their 20 overs awarded after being batted by the DC Pant captain.
In response, Delhi came closer thanks to the half centuries of their skipper and Shimron Hetmyer, but with six needed on the final ball, Pant was only able to manage to squeeze a border as RCB won the match by a race.
