DENTON, Texas (UKTN) – A domestic disturbance on I-35E near McCormick Street left a woman dead and a man charged with her murder Wednesday afternoon, April 28.
A caller reported seeing a man physically forcing a woman who appeared to be covered in blood into a vehicle.

The agents intervened in the area and found the woman.
She had been shot and taken to hospital in critical condition.
She later died in hospital.
Witnesses reported seeing the man leave.
Officers and PD Denton’s K-9 searched the area for the suspect.
Officers located a resident in the area and determined that they had encountered a person matching the suspect’s description.

Unaware that he had been involved in a shooting, the resident had arranged for the suspect to travel to Dallas via Uber.
Using this information, Denton PD agents were able to track the suspect in real time to Dallas. Dallas PD has been contacted and made aware of the situation.
Once the Uber reached its destination, the man was quickly apprehended by Dallas PD.
The suspect has since been identified as Simeon Bonilla, 22.
The police brought Bonilla back to Denton and arrested him for murder.
The warrant has been signed by a judge, and Bonilla remains in Denton City Jail on $ 500,000 bond.
