The WWE booking has been heavily criticized for years, but in recent memory there has been more criticism from fans than ever before. WWE has been going through an unprecedented period for over a year as it cannot have fans in attendance for shows thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
That will change for two nights as WWE hosts WrestleMania 37 with a total of 50,000 fans from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
Edge will face Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns in a Triple Threat World Title match at WrestleMania. In an interview with APP.com, he commented on the attendance of fans at the event.
Edge said the fans were the ghost member of WWE and without them it wasn’t quite the same.
“It’s not going to feel like it’s supposed to until we get there that night and you actually hear a growl and roar from an audience. Then it will become fully real to me, I think. Right now, as a company, we are all flying blind because we have these stories and we have this creativity, but we don’t know what the real reaction will be. When we go there, who knows how they will react? “
He went on to state that fans haven’t seen this version of Reigns in person, but he thinks it’s the version they’ve wanted to see for a long time. However, the unknown is still there and so is himself. He wonders how they will react to him. He hopes they react and WrestleMania will have a pretty ravenous crowd, in terms of reaction.
The WWE Hall of Fame has also spoken about turning heel, his character and WrestleMania. Check out the full interview here.
