The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has reiterated its readiness to ensure internal security before, during and after the 2023 elections.
The security service assured that officers and men would protect voters and other citizens across the country.
Inspector General of Police Usman Baba assured Friday in Abuja.
The IGP inspected, among other things, anti-riot weapons, Armored Personnel Carriers (APC), water cannons.
The newly acquired equipment and vehicles would be distributed to commands and formations for the general polls.
“Non-state actors, criminals and political villains are being warned to demand peace. We need peace, we deserve peace in Nigeria.
“We are fully prepared for better election security management,” said Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi.
