Young England cricketer Ollie Pope took a ball in the air on Tuesday during a training session with Surrey County Cricket Club. Surrey’s official Twitter handle mocked Pope using the video, claiming the 23-year-old put extra effort into the go-live once the camera came out and we recorded. “CAMERA’S OUT! An ounce of extra effort when we save @ OPope32?” Surrey Cricket captioned the clip on Twitter. Pope is currently part of the Surrey squad in the ongoing 2021 National Championship.

Just two weeks ago, Pope produced a terrible blow as Surrey held Leicestershire to a draw in their County Champions game. Pope, who scored 245 points on 272 balls in the game, lost six points off his career record. The Pope’s coup was marked by 29 borders.
