Gainesville double homicide suspect identified by police


21 Jan. – A teenager from Gainesville has been identified as the suspect in a double homicide Monday in the north part of the city.

Samuel Gary Lee King, 17, is a white male described as 5ft 7in tall, 130-140lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. King has a tattoo on his left forearm.

King is accused of shooting Antonio Delgado, 19, and a male youth, 16, both from Gainesville. The victims later died of their gunshot wounds.

“King was identified as the person responsible during the investigation and investigators have made numerous attempts to communicate with him,” Captain Tom Reynolds said in a statement released late Friday by the Gainesville Police Department. Capital murder, which is a crime against a crime.”
