Kate rose to fame thanks to her Gogglebox stint between 2014 and 2016 alongside her husband Graham, who she has been with since she was 18.
She was approached to appear on the show after bosses saw a video of her in a wedding flash mob, which has been viewed more than seven million times.
Kate previously emphasized that she wants people to know that it’s possible to be religious and have faith while having fun at the same time, which is partly why she signed up to appear on Gogglebox.
“My media work is part of my ministry because I want to keep the door open for people,” explains Kate.
“That motivated me to say yes to Gogglebox, but I’m also a desperate braggart. People may watch me on TV and think it’s not appropriate behavior for a pastor, but what matters to me is what I think and what my boss thinks.
“One of my favorite Bible passages is where Jesus says, “I came that they might have life and have it in all its fullness.” I’m interested in that fullness of life.’
Kate and husband Graham left the Channel 4 show in 2016 and she has since moved on to radio, presenting Good Morning Sunday on UKTN Radio 2.
She has also attended online religious services around the world, from New York to the Vatican, adding that as a self-supporting minister, she does not have a regular Sunday service, but fills in for other pastors and assists with weddings or funerals.
Since her rise to fame, she has had her culinary skills scrutinized at Celebrity MasterChef. She has also presented the UKTN’s Songs of Praise.
