Shares of Hindustan Unilever jumped nearly one percent on BSE after the country’s leading fast-moving consumer goods maker reported a 41 percent jump in net profit to Rs 2,143 crore over for the quarter ended in March 2021, compared to Rs 1,519 crore in the same quarter last year. As of 2:14 p.m., shares of Hindustan Unilever were trading at Rs 2,424.60, up 0.7 percent on BSE.
Hindustan Unilever’s revenue from product sales rose 34 percent to Rs 11,947 crore from Rs 8,885 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company’s domestic consumption growth in the quarter was 21% and underlying volume growth 16%, said Hindustan Unilever.
The BSE Sensex was at 49,815.78, higher of 93.61 points or 0.21% and the NSE Nifty was at 14,901.25, up 38 points or 0.27% at the time.
