The Virat Kohli fandom knows no boundaries. Despite no longer captaining the Indian team, Kohli remains one of the most popular names in world cricket. Since the Indian team landed in the UK, several photos of the former Indian skipper with his fans have gone viral on social media.
On the first day of the warm-up match between Team India and Leicestershire, Kohli again caught the eye as one of his fans carried a banner which drew a lot of attention. The young fan carried a banner saying he had missed school just to watch Kohli perform.

Kohli, meanwhile, looked in good touch as he stayed in the middle for some time. He came out at bat early in the contest and played some glorious shots, including his famous cover drive.
The 33-year-old appeared to be heading for a big total before his round was cut short as he was trapped front leg by Roman Walker. Meanwhile, KS Bharat was the star of the show on Day 1 as other Indian batters struggled but the youngster scored 70 runs on 111 balls to keep India alive in the contest.

By stumps on Day 1, the visitors had dropped to 246/8 as rain forced the game to end earlier than the scheduled time.
After the end of the warm-up match, the Indian team will face England in a one-off test match, which was due to be played last year but was postponed due to Covid.
