The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were looking to make amends for their poor performance at the 14th edition of last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 tournament before it was postponed due to multiple case of Covid within several franchises. While CSK fans may have to wait awhile to see their favorite stars in action, England cricketer Kate Cross has received a special gift from MS Dhoni’s IPL franchise. Cross took to Twitter to share some photos and thanked CSK for sending her a personalized jersey.

“A HUGE thank you to @cskfansofficial and @chennaiipl for sending me my first CSK jersey. When I can safely resume the tournament I can #whistlefromhome,” wrote the English designer.

Shortly after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL Board of Directors decided to postpone the IPL indefinitely, Cross expressed his disappointment on Twitter and pointed out that “health is passing before cricket “.

CSK batting coach Mike Hussey tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. The Chennai-based franchise tweeted on May 4 that their bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji and a support staff member tested positive for COVID-19 in Delhi and were isolated from the rest of the team.

Before the IPL was postponed, CSK had won five out of seven games and were second on the points table.
