SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper David Warner released a moving message to fans on Thursday as the 2016 champions continue their poor run in the current Indian Premier League season (IPL 2021). Warner’s remark came after the Hyderabad side were beaten by seven wickets on Wednesday, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), three-time IPL champions. Warner posted a photo of himself in an SRH jersey and captioned it: “Losing injuries and things might not be going our way, but what I do know is that we are fighters. We will never give up. #Sunrisers #orangearmy @sunrisershyd. ”

Candice Warner, wife of the former Australian vice-captain, was among the first to like the post, she also called him a “true warrior”.

“Well said. True warrior,” Candice wrote on the post.

“Don’t worry, champion @ davidwarner31, we’ll bounce back,” SRH designer Khaleel Ahmed wrote in the comments area.

The team led by David Warner are having an unforgettable season in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League. So far, SRH has won only one of its six games and sits at the bottom of the IPL rankings with just two points.

SRH began its campaign against two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with one loss. In their second game, SRH was beaten by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) led by Virat Kohli by six points.

SRH’s losing streak continued in their third game as defending champions Mumbai Indians took the upper hand. Hyderabad broke their losing streak with a nine-wicket victory over KL Rahul’s Punjab Kings in their fourth game of the season.

However, SRH’s outright victory over PBKS was unable to revive their season as Hyderabad lost their next game to a young Delhi Capitals in the super finals, before losing to CSK on Wednesday.

SunRisers Hyderabad will face Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 28th IPL game on Sunday in New Delhi.
