Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma will look to make history in the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) by becoming the first captain to win the trophy three times in a row. The right-handed opener trained hard ahead of the season opener on April 9 and is expected to play a key role in a star-studded MI squad. MI teased what was to come from the explosive batsman on Instagram on Wednesday with a clip of Rohit Sharma tackling his trademark shot in the net.

Rohit Sharma is the most successful captain in IPL history, having led the Mumbai Indians to a record five titles. The Chennai Super Kings have the second best trophy cabinet, with three.
