Today, the highly anticipated AMAN property – opening August 2, 2022 – magically sparkles at the corner of 57th Street and 5th Avenue, right on the edge of Midtown’s Billionaire’s Row. Ideally located just two blocks south of Central Park, across from Bergdorf Goodman and steps from the MOMA, Rockfeller Center and Radio City Hall, Aman New York occupies the historic 1921 Beaux-Arts Crown Building, the first high-rise building that was built in Manhattan. Originally called the Heckscher Building, the tower was built by philanthropist August Heckscher and designed by Warren and Wetmore. The most successful and prolific architectural firm in America during the first three decades of the twentieth century, it was known for the celebrated Grand Central Terminal and for producing more than three hundred projects that influenced architectural tastes from America’s Gilded Age to the Great Depression.

ARVA

“Amanjunkies” around the world know the concept very well. Arva is Aman’s tribute to the coziness and warmth of traditional Italian family dining. The restaurant pays homage to Italy’s rustic tradition of cucina del raccolto, meaning “harvest kitchen”.

In a cozy and bright setting, with banquets, screens and green plants around the central open kitchen, chef Dario Ossola proposes sustainable and refined seasonal ingredients sourced locally through partnerships with Grow NYC or Our Harvest. Together they represent more than 750 farmers and operate at least 100 farmers’ markets in and around New York City. As in Tokyo, Venice and Thailand, lunch and dinner at Arva offer antipasti, fresh homemade pasta, green vegetables and main courses.

NAMA

The most exquisite and exclusive Japanese restaurant in town. Open for dinner only, Nama celebrates Washoku cuisine – Japan’s culinary tradition recognized by Unesco as an Intangible Cultural Heritage – using the best seasonal ingredients available locally. Guests are invited to explore the “omakase” concept and leave it to the chef, Takuma Yonemaru. All dishes from nigiri or sashimi to miso black cod and lobster are excellent. Save some space for the irresistible Macha tiramisu. Dining at Nama is definitely a unique gastronomic experience in a contemplative warm and wooden decor with ceilings and chandeliers inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Aman New York is imbued with the inimitable spirit of Aman. Aman knows how to redefine the true meaning of luxury. Vladislav Doronin pointed out that time is a luxury. For a man who is constantly on the move, having time to be quiet, to be present, is the greatest luxury. The Aman group will open two other properties in Miami and Los Angeles in the coming years. Look forward .
