Rajasthan Royals wicket keeper and batsman Jos Buttler presented an autographed bat to his Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal on Tuesday. Buttler had also written a special message for Jaiswal on the bat. “To Yash, take advantage of your talent. Best wishes,” he said. Buttler’s photo featuring Jaiswal with the bat was shared by Rajasthan Royals on his official Instagram account. “A special gift from a special opening partner,” the 2008 champions wrote in the comment box. Buttler smashed his first 100 IPL against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 2, scoring 124 balls on just 64 balls, which helped the Royals win the game by 55 points.
The post received almost 1.74 lakh likes and the comments section was flooded. While one user said: “Jos the boss”, another commented: “Great gesture”. A third follower wrote: “A great gift for a cricketer”, and a fourth said: “Buttler is a person with a big heart”.
Earlier Monday, RR posted a clip of Buttler dancing on the “ Gangnam Style ” track with his daughter Georgia and Rajasthan field coach Dishant Yagnik. “Papa Gangnam Style,” RR captioned the video on Instagram. In the short clip, Buttler can be seen recreating the dance step from the famous song.
Speaking about his winning innings against SunRisers Hyderabad in the post-match press conference, the England cricketer ace said that even though he struggled a bit he was sure to turn things around.
“It’s up there (among my best) and definitely my first 100 in T20 cricket. I’m delighted with it. I won’t say I’ve been at my best lately. I don’t feel all about it. really comfortable. at the crease, kind of looking for something. But what was good was keeping a good frame of mind, “Buttler said.
