‘I think I’ll delete the app’: radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals heartbreaking reason she left Instagram
Jackie ‘O’ Henderson shared the sad but very relatable reason she decided to quit social media for good.
The radio host, 46, admitted to The Kyle and Jackie O Show Wednesday that she was tired of feeling miserable every time she browsed her Instagram feed.
“ I quit using Instagram because I get away with it and don’t feel good about myself. I actually feel worse than before, ” the mother-of-one said.

Jackie, who has 204,000 followers on the Facebook-owned social media platform, added: ‘I just think it’s not real, everything is so Photoshopped. ”
“Everyone seems to have a better life than me. It’s like they’re going out more and doing things, ”she continued.
His co-host Kyle Sandilands, who has no social media account, agreed with Jackie’s summary, calling Instagram “ completely bogus. ”

Self-esteem struggles: “Everyone seems to have a better life than me. It’s like they’re going out more and doing stuff, ” she added.
“Everyone is pretending, it’s all about pretending in all honesty,” he said.
Jackie then revealed that she was considering deleting Instagram from her phone for good because she was tired of feeling bad about herself.
“I don’t want to know what everyone is doing. I think I will delete the app, ” she said.

It comes after Jackie wiped out influencers spreading “ unnecessary ” products on Instagram.
“ I really go beyond Instagram and people flog products and advertise. I don’t really like it, ” she said on air in May of last year.
“If you do it every now and then and you feel like it suits you and it fits your brand, I think, ‘Alright, do it.’
“ But if you’re just whipping up face creams and so on, I forget to look at your posts because I don’t think you’re very genuine. ”

Jackie added that influencers don’t have to be paid that much, with the exception of prominent stars like Kim Kardashian or Charlie Demilio.
Kyle said he wouldn’t buy a product online just because he saw an influencer promoting it and wondered if influencer marketing “ even works. ”
If you follow a bikini girl on Instagram but she sells acne cream [it’s not going to work] because most of them will be guys, ”he said.
“It’s not really going to translate and it’s a big hole. A lot of people think it will work one way and not.
“I’m really getting over it!” It comes a year after Jackie tried to hit influencers who were spreading “ useless ” products on Instagram, which she described as inauthentic.
