Kylian Mbappe has strongly suggested he will quit PSG this summer and want to play abroad after detailing the pressures he has to play for Paris Saint-Germain.
The 22-year-old’s future is in doubt with the Ligue 1 giants. Mbappe’s current deal expires in June 2022 and the former Monaco have turned a number of contract offers from the Ligue 1 champions. Cadena SER report that Mbappe turned down three new offers from PSG, although Fabrizio Romano says the player’s priority is to renegotiate a deal with the club.
However, there is a lot of interest from Real Madrid, while Liverpool have also been linked. Funding a deal for Mbappe wouldn’t be cheap. Indeed, even with only 12 months left on his contract, the World Cup winner is said to still demand a fee of around £ 150million.
Liverpool’s hopes jumped forward on Wednesday. It was after he was claimed by an expert they are preparing the ground for a “substantial” offensive signing.
While PSG aren’t too alarmed by this, Mbappe’s latest comments may well put them in panic mode.
“Yes [my contract talks] had progressed, I would have come to talk about it before, ”said Mbappe. “Of course, I’ll talk about it when I’ve made up my mind.”
Mbappe admits he’s fed up with being constantly in the limelight in Ligue 1, again indicating his likely exit.
“Of course, he [criticism from the media] becomes tiring, especially when you play for a club in your country and give your all for your national team. After a while, it becomes tiring, ”he added.
“It’s different for players who play abroad and only come back here for the national team. I’m there all the time, they talk a lot more about me. It’s a different context [to other players], but I knew it would be like this when I signed for Paris. We will see.
“Of course, that plays a role [the pressure from the media having a bearing on his future], but it’s not just that.
“The most important thing is to feel good where you are and to have fun every day.”

Pochettino admits Mbappe’s love
Do his best to convince him to stay, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino detailed Mbappe’s level of appreciation in the French capital.
“Who doesn’t love Kylian, we say to ourselves. He makes himself loved, with his smile, his face and his energy, ”said Pochettino.
“At 19, he was world champion [with France]awesome things have happened to him, but he’s special and different, with a lot of emotional intelligence.
“He has a lot of potential to develop but he is already [someone for the] present, not just the future. It’s a challenge and a good thing to work with that kind of talent, it makes you a better coach. You give a solution to this type of player and he gives you five.
“There are a lot of rumors. But I see him staying at PSG for a long time and that’s what the club wants.
“We have it in our plans for the entire time we’re going to be at the club.
“Of course he has to make a decision. But what we are seeing is someone who is very happy here and fully committed to the sporting project of this club.
