FRANKFURT: German airline Lufthansa announced on Friday that it would resume flights from Frankfurt to Tehran from April 16.
Lufthansa suspended flights in January 2020 after a Ukrainian airliner was shot down shortly after takeoff from Tehran.
The airline said it has since evaluated Iran’s security measures with national and international authorities.
“The conditions for safe air operations in Iranian airspace are currently in place,” he said in an emailed statement.
