Last year, in September, the premium car brand of the Hyundai Group – Genesis hired Dominique Boesch as its first general manager for the European market and now the company is ready to make its foray into the market. Genesis took to Twitter via its European handle to share the news and the tweet read: “The Genesis journey continues. All roads lead to Europe. Get ready to join us on this exciting new adventure.”

Dominique Boesch had joined Genesis from Audi AG where he held the position of Sales Director in France before becoming General Manager in Korea, Japan and China, respectively, during his twenty years. After more than 10 years in Asia, Boesch returned to HQ as European Sales Manager and most recently led the brand’s future global retail strategy.

In Europe, Genesis will face Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi and Jaguar Land Rover among others. Genesis has not disclosed any plans for its product line or models that it will initially launch to start operations. He also presented the electrified G80 at Auto Shanghai 2021 and it will be the brand’s first electric vehicle. It will go on sale alongside the conventional G80, GV70 crossover and GV80 SUV in global markets and the same is expected even in Europe.
