Police have arrested a suspect accused of assaulting three people at San Francisco International Airport with a “stabbing weapon”.
San Francisco police say the suspect is an adult male who entered the terminal around 6 p.m. local time on Friday, around the time the Golden State Warriors arrived at the airport following their victory in the final of the NBA vs. Boston Celtics.

UKTN 2 KTVU reports that a large knife was recovered from the scene.
The incident was documented by local UKTN 2 affiliate KTVU after an airport reporter covering the Warriors’ return to the city was alerted to the violence.

The man allegedly pulled out the gun and attacked three people, who suffered cuts and scratches, according to KTVU. All of the victims were male and all are in stable condition with only minor injuries and cuts.
The attack reportedly took place in the public pre-security area of the international terminal.
The San Francisco Police Department has not released an official report on the incident.

It is just the latest incident in a series of high-profile stabbing attacks across the country, many of which have claimed multiple lives.
