Their stay on Martha’s Vineyard did not last long.
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that he was activating 125 members of the National Guard to help deal with 50 illegal immigrants flown into Martha’s Vineyard.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reportedly sent two planes full of illegal immigrants to deep-blue Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday, leading officials there to declare the relatively small influx an “unexpected emergency humanitarian situation.”
Baker (R) responded to the crisis by activating nearly three National Guardsmen for every illegal immigrant and transporting them to Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC).
The “relief effort,” Baker explained in a statement released Friday morning, is necessary because “island communities are not equipped to provide sustainable housing.”
If Martha’s Vineyard, described by the New York Times as a “summer destination for the rich and powerful,” where the median home price is $1 million, can’t handle the “rise,” how do open border proponents expect border towns to handle a lot? higher numbers?
The roughly 50 Venezuelan migrants who flew unannounced to Martha’s Vineyard on Wednesday in what critics derided as a brutal political stunt are now being offered temporary shelter at Joint Base Cape Cod, the Baker administration announced Friday. https://t.co/xz3FKv7B0Z

Almost comically, videos appeared Friday showing buses arriving to drive the illegal immigrants away from Martha’s Vineyard.
NBC News correspondent Emilie Ikeda tweeted about the 125 members of the National Guard deployed to assist as the “migrants… get on buses.”

Boston Globe reporter Samantha Gross tweeted that there are a total of three buses – one long and two short ones – arriving to “transport people from the island.”
They are being deported from the island because the rich and wealthy cannot find a way to house and feed them, if you believe the reports.
Even better, one of the buses arrived with a destination sign that read, “Have a nice day!”
Have a nice day… but don’t get hit on the door when you go out!
Buses have arrived in Edgartown to transport migrants from St Andrew’s Parish House.

Just hours earlier, Senator Julian Cyr, a Democrat representing the island, tweeted that Martha’s Vineyard’s handling of the crisis shows that “we are a community that supports immigrants”.
And then the buses came to take them away.

The panic is laughable
It’s downright hilarious to watch the predominantly white, progressive island territory of Martha’s Vineyard panic at the arrival of about 50 illegal immigrants.
I had more people at a barbecue last weekend.
50! Border towns see those numbers about every five or ten minutes.
Here’s a video of more than 700 illegal immigrants, most of whom appear to be single adults, crossing the border from Mexico to Eagle Pass, Texas in one day.
These two large groups totaling 200+ also illegally crossed Eagle Pass, TX this morning, again mostly single adults. Eagle Pass is part of Border Patrol’s Del Rio sector, which has seen approximately 400,000 illegal border crossings since October. Bigger than New Orleans pop. pic.twitter.com/eqZ9CL6jZH

The median household income in Eagle Pass is just over $41,000 per year. The median home price is just a shadow of over $120,000. Compare that to the numbers from Martha’s Vineyard.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott puts illegal immigrants on a bus and takes them to New York City, Chicago or Washington, DC, and he is charged with human trafficking for being a “racist.”
DeSantis flies them to Martha’s Vineyard and there are calls to investigate him for “kidnapping” – literally.
I formally request that the DOJ initiate an immediate investigation into these inhumane attempts to use children as political pawns. pic.twitter.com/x2sBa06nSw

Martha’s Vineyard deports illegal immigrants “off the island” and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot begins shipping them to suburban locations, and no one turns a blind eye.
More than 1.9 million illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border into the United States so far this year, according to US Customs and Border Protection data.
It only became a crisis when they dared to invade a playground for rich, white progressives.
