SINGAPORE: Singapore’s largest content company, Mediacorp, unveiled a comprehensive program designed to equip aspiring content creators with the practical skills, knowledge and hands-on experience they need to become successful social creators.
Known as the Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator and launched in collaboration with YouTube and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the program is part of Mediacorp’s goal of engaging everyone every day by nurturing the next generation. of creative talents to develop high quality content and develop their reach audiences both locally and internationally.
The launch of Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator follows the creation of Bloomr.SG MCN, Singapore’s first and only official multi-channel network (MCN) announced in August 2020. The accelerator will lead a variety of training programs and events. education, in tandem with The other functional pillars of Bloomr.SG MCN are providing equipment and resources, driving content and intellectual property (IP) development and facilitating monetization opportunities for social creators of on board.
The first session of the Accelerator’s structured training program, which will run from June to November 2021, will consist of a series of workshops led by industry professionals.
Creators who graduate from the six-month training program will continue to participate in synthesis projects for an additional six months, which would involve co-creating new IPs in collaboration with established YouTubers and participating in opportunities for production of commissioned content for Mediacorp through its multiple platforms. Promising talent can feature in Mediacorp’s omnichannel content.
IMDA will support Bloomr.SG MCN Accelerator as part of its efforts to build a sustainable and thriving ecosystem of content creators in Singapore and the region.

YouTube will provide the platform’s expertise and support to the program, bringing in their experts as part of the training.
