The use of blockchain across the globe continues to gain traction, with use cases in virtually every aspect of global society.
And the decentralized protocol Minima should add to this with its selection in the MobilityXlab program.
Recently announced, the program will see the blockchain platform participate in an initiative to create new solutions in the world of vehicles and mobile communication.
Hugo Feiler, CEO of Minima, said:
“ We are excited to be part of the MobilityXlab program and look forward to demonstrating the benefits of a truly decentralized network for mobility in general, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication in particular..”
Minima to help create vehicle-to-vehicle communication
Minima joins 10 other startups from around the world on this project and will partner with leading companies in the auto-mobility industry to help bring these innovations to market.
Partners will include Ericsson, CEVT, Polestar, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group & Zenseact, among others.
Minima is expected to start working on the solutions in August 2022 and will include the use of Layer 1 security and decentralization to connect cars, enabling greater data security through immutable and censorship-resistant transfers.
The Peer-2-Peer (P2P) network of connected nodes will also enable more than chat and communication. According to the platform, the innovation is expected to bring the benefits of rewards, loyalty programs and sharing to connected vehicles.
