BOSTON (UKTN) – A new poll gives Governor Charlie Baker high marks for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic in Massachusetts.
According to the Suffolk University-Boston Globe poll released Wednesday, 71% approve of the governor’s response to the pandemic.

But that number fell to 58% for his handling of the vaccine rollout.

Overall approval for the governor’s post is 67% in this survey.
The survey interviewed 500 Massachusetts residents by phone between March 25 and March 28.

Earlier this month, a UMass Amherst poll of 800 residents conducted March 5-9 showed that 60% believed Baker had handled the pandemic “very well” or “fairly well.” This was down from 79% in October 2020.
