Miller, an independent re / insurance broker based in London, has announced the appointment of Erik Manning at the head of Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS).
Manning is expected to take office in the third quarter, subject to approval by the Bermuda Immigration Department. He will report to Charlie simpson, Chief of Bermuda.
Manning, who brings significant industry experience, will focus on developing ILS solutions and other leading risk / capital insurance solutions for the benefit of Miller’s clients. His appointment builds on Simpson’s hiring earlier this year to lead Bermuda as the company continues to focus on expanding reinsurance.
Manning has over 20 years of industry experience and comes from Peak Capital where he was CEO. Previously, he was Managing Director at Aon Bermuda and also held management positions at Markel Re and Guy Carpenter. Erik holds a doctorate. from the University of London.
Manning will be joined in Bermuda by Sebastien alexandre, who moved from Miller’s London office, and Francesca Cacacé. Alexander has extensive market and customer relationships and has experience in the ILS field, placing Industrial Loss Guarantees (ILW) as well as in the traditional markets of London, Europe and North America. North. Cacace will support Miller’s Bermuda team, bringing his diverse experience and local knowledge of Bermuda.
Lockton Re, the global reinsurance business of the world’s largest independent insurance broker, announced that Ollie Jones will join Lockton Re in London later this year as a broker in the Marine & Energy division.
Jones will be leaving Guy Carpenter where he was most recently vice president of Global Marine & Energy practice. Prior to that, he was a broker at JLT Re, where he started his career.
McGill and its partners announced that Warren Mula joined the London-based broker as a non-executive director of McGill Global Risk Solutions LLC and strategic advisor to McGill and Partners.
McGill and Partners has experienced significant growth in its first two years of operation, and Mula’s role will be to support this growth with a particular focus on the specialty broker’s US plans, encompassing talents, clients, markets and intermediary partners.
Mula joins McGill and Partners after 40 years of service with Aon, most recently as President of Aon Risk Solutions. This included responsibility for all of Aon’s global specialty business strategies as well as relationships with global carriers. This role has been held in conjunction with his ongoing responsibilities as Global CEO of Aon Broking.
Mula’s previous experience has also encompassed various leadership and leadership roles including President of Aon Risk Services Companies Inc., Managing Director of the Northeastern US Region, US National Director of the Asset Management Group. strategic accounts and general manager of Baltimore / Washington DC offices.
