Mozzart Donates Ksh 2.5 Million Medical Equipment To Homa Bay County

On Tuesday April 27, leading video game company Mozzart donated medical equipment worth Ksh2.5 million to Homa Bay Level 4 Hospital.

Some of the donated equipment included 3ply disposable masks, N95 masks, PPE kits, anti-fog goggles, face shields, mattresses and intensive care beds.

This is part of the organization’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) program called ‘Supporting Our Healthcare Facilities’, which aims to empower Kenya’s hospitals in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Governor of Homa Bay County, the Hon. Cyprian Awiti and other county officials. Awiti was very grateful to Mozzart and said the donation would go a long way in improving health care in the county.

“These measures will go a long way to solving the health problems in our county. We feel delighted and wish to sincerely thank Mozzart. A healthcare facility uses at least two PPE per day. A frontline worker could even use more, so more is needed and we thank Mozzart for this initiative, ”he said.

“So far, we have vaccinated just over 11,000 citizens in Homa Bay and we are still in the process of vaccinating more. In addition to the Covid-19 pandemic, this equipment will also be essential in the fight against other diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV among others and we are therefore very grateful to Mozzart for the gesture. He added.

Mozzart National Director Sasa Krneta confirmed that the organization will continue to support Kenyan communities through its various CSR activities.

“We have donated essential equipment to 33 different hospitals across the country since last year and also have # Action100Wells which basically aims to dig 100 new water points in different locations in Kenya. So far we have exploited four wells and the fourth is underway in Busia ”, he said,

“Our commitment to supporting UKTN across the country is unwavering. Mozzart has so far spent over Ksh 70 million on various CSR activities and other programs are still in preparation, ”he concluded.
