Dr Laming is about to return to work after being ordered to take a month off to seek help. He told News Corp his diagnosis was “no excuse,” but helped explain some of his behaviors.

It follows a month of horror in which Dr Laming was forced to apologize in parliament after two female voters accused him of abusing them online. One of them said the abuse left her suicidal.
He was also accused of photographing a woman leaning over her workplace without her consent, with her underwear visible. Police investigated the case but no action was taken.
“As a medically trained person, I… really had no idea that ADHD and hyperactivity was an adult condition,” Dr. Laming said Wednesday.
“I just spoke honestly and openly with someone who deeply understands ADHD. It was very fast.
“I took medicine the next day. On the second day, I’m just absolutely clear about the biological nature of this situation. I was amazed that I took a pill and the thoughts I had lived my whole life with, raging through my head, were just polite.
