India’s middle veteran Cheteshwar Pujara turned 35 on Wednesday. Wishes began pouring in from fans and well-wishers for the star batter. The cricket association also granted its wishes, but that of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar was in the spotlight. “Not all five fingers are the same. Not every Test batsman has to be a great batsman. An aggressive batting set-up must also be able to defend well. Pujara, you have been a rock in India’s batting line-up. Stay unique, stay yourself! Congratulations on your birthday,” Tendulkar said on Twitter while uploading a photo of him with Pujara.

Pujara has made a name for himself with his solid technique and his defensive hitting style which has saved India from trouble on many occasions. His batting style earned him comparisons to former India batsman and current national team coach Rahul Dravid, also known as ‘The Wall’.
