New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday told students not to fear the exams but to see them as a test to improve. Virtually interacting with students as part of his annual “Parikasha Pe Charcha” program, he recognized that one cannot be good at everything, but also asked students not to shy away from any subject even if they find it difficult. . He cited his own example of more complex work in the morning when he feels cooler and leaves the easier parts at the end of the night.
“My take on trying easy questions first on exams is slightly different. The hard part has to be approached with a ‘new spirit’ and that will make the easy questions even easier. working as Prime Minister and Chief Minister earlier, I preferred to approach difficult problems in the morning with a fresh mind.

He also gave the example of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. “She may not be good at geography, but she is incomparable at singing. You may find some subjects difficult, but it is not a failure. Do not run away,” Prime Minister Modi said.
He added that exams are not the last chance to prove yourself, but an opportunity to take your first steps towards your dreams.
“The fear is mainly due to the atmosphere that made the exam the end of life, which makes the students overly aware. Life is very long and these are only one stage in life. Parents, teachers and peers should not put pressure on Exams should be seen as a simple opportunity to test oneself and not be turned into a matter of life and death.
“Parents who care for their children know their strengths and weaknesses. But sometimes they make children ‘instruments’ to achieve their dreams and goals. If no external pressure is created, students will not feel the pressure. exams pressure and their confidence will also grow, ”he said.
The interaction, which lasted over 90 minutes, saw students, teachers and parents seek advice from the Prime Minister on a variety of issues important to them.
The annual Pariksha Pe Charcha 2021 event, when PM Modi interacts with schoolchildren across the country to tackle exams, took place virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions.
