Raksha Bandhan is directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Zee Studios, Color Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films.

This is Akshay Kumar’s second time working with director Anand L Rai after Arangi Re. The film also stars Abhinay Raj Singh, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth in leading roles.

Starring Akshay and Bhumi in the lead roles of the comedy-drama, Raksha Bandhan is set to release on August 11, 2022, which was originally scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on November 5, 2021, to coincide with Diwali, but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, which caused a delay in pre-production and other crucial work.
