Realme has decided to postpone its next launches due to the current second wave of COVID-19 sweeping India. The company was scheduled to hold a launch event on May 4 to unveil a new flagship phone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. It was largely expected to be called Realme X7 Max, a renowned model of the Realme GT Neo. which was launched earlier in China. Realme was also looking to launch a new Realme TV, presumably the 43-inch 4K Realme TV model at the launch event.
In a new tweet, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed that the company is postponing upcoming launches and anniversary celebrations as India faces unprecedented challenges. The tweet reads: “After careful consideration, Realme has decided to postpone the next launch of smartphones and AIoT products as well as the anniversary celebrations. In these difficult times, let’s focus on our contribution as much as possible. Stay home, stay strong! We will be back soon. “

Sheth also attached a small note urging all Indian citizens to follow relevant COVID-19 security protocols. “Ask all of you to focus on your families and yourself. It is time for us to stand united and support each other as a community, ”the note read.
Although the upcoming May 4 launch event is canceled, Realme has not provided any details on the date of the event. The company will likely wait for the lockdown restrictions to disappear before announcing a new launch date. In any case, the Realme birthday celebrations that take place every year in May are completely canceled. The company usually makes a sale with great offers and discounts during this time.
Realme X7 Max, at every launch, is said to come equipped with a 6.43-inch full-HD + Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its triple rear camera setup can include a Sony IMX682 main sensor of 64. megapixels. The phone is likely to pack a 4,500mAh battery.
