The Long Mile Running beyond 3 miles only once in 18 starts by rule and may have more to offer on stays. However, all of the best shapes have happened on soft / heavy ground; has a squeak.

Give me a copper Slightly raced for his age and his best form came on decent ground. Apparently, is going well fresh; Will the deviation of 70 days from his last race be enough? A lively stranger.

Farclas Consistent sort that has been in good shape lately. However, he has yet to run beyond 3 miles and has some stamina to prove. If he stays, he may indeed be very close.

times Minella In the form of his life, and has form figures from 1122 by teaming up with Rachael Blackmore (who rolls here again). Endurance a little request; luck all over the place though.

Second lieutenant It would be a fairytale story if his mother and daughter coach / jockey combination won here. However, don’t get younger at 12 and that will do well to feature.

Hogan height Wide margin winner of the Grand Sefton Chase on his only previous try on national fences. However, the majority of his best form has been under 3 miles; will do well to get back here.

Double random play Only the previous effort in this race was in the 2017 renewal. I’ve been in pretty good shape recently, but ultimately seem to be playing for minor honors at best here.

Friend Desbois Constant stayer who has to run here with a career record. Not getting any younger at 11 and will do very well to fill the frame for the 3rd time in a row this season.

Blaklion A high class hunter in his prime, finishing a good 4th at the Grand National in 2017. Has struggled to reach these heights lately and seems hard to imagine even at the low weights.
