University of Arizona police arrested a “subject of interest” after reports of an early morning shooting on campus.

University of Arizona police arrested a “subject of interest” after reports of an early morning shooting on campus.

At 2:41 a.m., Tucson police responded to reported gunshots at a residential unit on the University of Arizona campus near Block 1010 on north Tyndall Avenue.

The University of Arizona Police Department issued a statement warning people to stay away from the area around The Hub Apartments because of a shooting.

At 4 a.m., a “subject of interest” was arrested, police said. Shortly afterwards, the police issued an all-clear.

Police have not released the name of the detainee and no injuries were reported.

The investigation continued.
