Steph Curry and Warriors won’t win ‘zero’ more NBA titles, ESPN analyst says

Analyst uses ‘zero glasses’ to double down bad Steph, Dubs takes originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

ESPN analyst Domonique Foxworth doubles down – quite literally – on his previously mistaken prediction that Steph Curry and the Warriors won’t win any more NBA championships.

The last time Foxworth guessed how many more rings Curry would earn with Golden State was in August, and the two-time NBA MVP had just signed a $215 million contract extension. Foxworth and fellow analyst Kendrick Perkins both raised their hands in the shape of a zero.

Curry took note.

He proved them wrong and won the NBA Finals MVP with another ring after defeating the Boston Celtics. As he soaked up his fourth title while speaking to reporters at TD Garden, he provided a visual reminder of how correct those August guesses were.

On Wednesday’s episode of “Get Up,” Foxworth was again asked to predict how many titles Curry and the Warriors will win after their fourth championship in eight seasons. He held up not one but two zeros after claiming that Golden State’s “meanness” is proof they “will lean on their lorals.”

Foxworth provided Curry with enough fuel to earn a fourth ring the last time he wielded a zero, and it was just one. With his “zero glasses” remark, it’s unclear what kind of season Foxworth might inspire.
