(UKTN DETROIT) – Eastern Michigan University has launched the “Get the VAX to WIN” program to encourage students, staff and faculty to get vaccinated against COVID-19, and the first round of winners has just been announced.
There will be five rounds, with over 150 prizes for participants to win.

Prices include free room and board, free parking, $ 100 bookstore gift cards and more!
Here is the first series of winning students:
$ 5,000 in credit – Jaylen Reames from Livonia, Michigan, studying computer engineering technology
$ 1,000 in credit – Yumna Alam from Canton, Michigan, student in social work intention
$ 1,000 in credit – Maximilian Sebastian Patel from Copenhagen, Denmark, studying dance
$ 1,000 in credit – Daniela Rodrigues from Ypsilanti, Michigan, studying exercise science
$ 1,000 in credit – Nina Scarpelli from Westland, Michigan, public relations student
New computer – DeAngelena Terrell from Ypsilanti, Michigan, public health student
Free accommodation for the fall semester – Cromwell Bost from Detroit, Michigan, computer science student –

There was a big response for the ‘Get the VAX to WIN’ and Daniela Rodrigues and DeAngelena Terrell, UEM students who won awards in the first round, said they had been vaccinated to protect themselves. and protect others.
“I feel incredibly blessed to have won and I encourage other students to enter the contest,” said Rodrigues. for me. I plan to use the credit for the next semester’s tuition, which will help me and my family financially.
“I’m still in shock that I won something,” Terrell said. “I got the vaccine because I wanted to protect my high-risk children. It (Vaccination Certification System) was super easy to complete; it probably only took me two to three minutes, ”she added.
The next draw dates for the program will take place during the weeks of:
