Next week’s AEW Dynamite could feature the debut of another former WWE star.
If you follow Dark Order’s story on YouTube and social media, you’ll notice that AEW has teased a split within the group and it all seems to lead to the reveal of a leader to bring everyone together.
On Wednesday night, AEW Dynamite takes place at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY. It is the hometown of the late Brodie Lee.
Dave Meltzer reported last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Impact Wrestling was interested in signing Windham Rotunda (former WWE star Bray Wyatt) but there was also interest from AEW. Meltzer said if Rotunda signs with AEW it is rumored to show up at the Rochester show.
Rotunda would have had a 90-day non-compete, but he has the option to forgo it and not take the WWE money. If that’s what he chose to do, he would be free to appear on any wrestling TV show.
For what it’s worth, Rotunda appeared to indicate in a recent tweet that fans will see him soon. He tweeted last week:
“Everything will be clear.
I will see you all very soon.
Revenge is an admission of pain.
As of this writing, the only thing announced for next week is that Sammy Guevara will challenge Miro for the TNT Championship. Next week could be very special if Wyatt / Rotunda shows up.
