Virat Kohli struts past the boundary ropes and heads into the middle. He takes heed and prepares to face the bowler. At the other end of the line, it is Wasim Akram who is preparing to enter steam. It would be quite a contest, wouldn’t it? Akram is considered one of the greatest pacers of all time and Kohli one of the greatest hitters of all time. Well, the former Pakistani captain was asked how he would feel and what he would do if, in a hypothetical scenario, he was at his peak and playing Kohli.
Akram said he would feel confident bowling with Kohli as he would be new to the crease with a few wickets dropped. And he said he would pull out his full line of tricks to take on someone of Kohli’s caliber.
“I would have had a lot of confidence. If he comes out at bat at 3 or 4, that means two wickets are down and that means he is new in the crease. Then I would attack,” Akram said during the talk show. “To Be Honest” on Nashpati Prime.
“I’m going to move the ball away from him and into him, and as a plan B I would kick it with a bouncer. I would kick it with a bouncer with a defender deep and then with the defender called. I would try all the little stuff,” he said.

Akram contested 104 Tests and 356 ODIs, taking 414 and 502 wickets respectively in the two formats.
It also has three test centuries, with a highest score of 257*.
