A man died Friday night after being shot in the drive-thru of a Popeyes restaurant in North Carolina, police said.
Officers found 32-year-old Winston-Salem resident Rashaad Pitts dead in the parking lot of the restaurant just after 9 p.m., according to a press release from Crime Stoppers of Winston-Salem Forsyth County on Facebook Saturday.
Police arrived at the Popeyes at 500 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive after a call about a shooting.
“The preliminary investigation shows that Rashaad Pitts was in the drive-thru when he was shot and that he succumbed to his injuries,” the press release said.
