The ‘Amazing Spider-ManAndrew Garfield fans may not have reason to rejoice as the BAFTA-winning actor has denied any speculation about his Spider-Man: No Coming Home cameo, in his recent interview. Movie buffs, and Andrew Garfield fans in particular, have been on their toes since the days when the creators of Spider-Man: No Coming Home had announced the production of the action-adventure film.
The film, which will star Hollywood’s ‘chocolate boy’ Tom Holland as the lead, sparked rumors that Andrew would be a cameo as a treat for his fans. But according to People Magazine, in an interview with Josh Horowitz on his Happy sad confused podcast, The Amazing Spider-Man has denied rumors he would reprise his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Coming Home alongside Tom Holland.
The 37-year-old actor first denied the rumors when Horowitz mentioned the upcoming Marvel movie, saying he didn’t want to “spoil anything” by spoiling his potential appearance in the film.
“There is nothing to ruin, my brother! I must have cut you off quickly because there is nothing to ruin,” Andrew reassured, laughing.
The Tony Award winner also admitted seeing the Spider Man buzz on Twitter, and called it “hilarious.”
“It’s hilarious for me because I have this Twitter account and I see how often Spider-Man is trending and these are the people freaking out about something … I wish I could have talked to everyone and say, ‘I recommend that you relax!’ says Andrew.
While confirming the same, Andrew said: “I would have already received a call, that’s all I’m saying”.
Spider-Man: No Coming Home is a continuation of Spider-Man Far From Home with Tom Holland. The film is set to hit theaters on December 17 this year. It will also star Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx in a central role.
